The Recovery Room is aptly named. This central Denver bar is located near Rose Medical Center – in the heart of “hospital row.”

The Recovery Room has a limited menu, serving hot dogs and Italian sausage, but the food’s not the draw. Instead, medical personnel and neighbors from nearby Mayfair, Cherry Creek, and Congress Park flock to this low-key bar for the happy hour specials and nightly drink specials.

And if you’re hungry, you’re welcome to bring your own food into the bar or order something from the stack of menus that represent offerings from nearby restaurants.

Typically, the Recovery Room is loud and bustling, particularly on Wednesday nights, when the bar offers “Dirty Nurses Night” and ladies of all occupations are offered free drinks.
